Fall in North Florida

Fall in North Florida means the State Fair and the changing color of leaves...both a site to see!

Hannah Banana on the Carousel...nice weather out (no sleeves)

Sarafina riding solo for the first time!

We enjoyed a lovely fall night with the McCoy Family at the North Florida State Fair. The weather was great....not too cold and not warm. I did become a little frigid towards the end of the night; however, I stay cold. The girls, like always, enjoyed themselves. We all enjoyed GREAT food...Italian sausages, pulled pork, fried turkey legs, cotton candy, kettle corn, sweet tea (for only .75), soft pretzels, and funnel cake! Hannah played "chicken" this year and didn't ride as much as usual. Sarah would have rode everything if she was tall enough! Leonard rode with Trinity on the dare-devil rides! Vince isn't a "rider." Yet, he and Leonard did tackle the mechanical bull! LOL! Leonard got him by 1 second. Now that was a site to see! So grateful to be raising my girls with a great family like the McCoy Family! Stay tuned for more of our great explorations!
Before jetting off to the fair, the girls & I met with Paige at McClay Gardens for more pictures. The gardens are so beautiful this time of year. Here are a few pics that I took with my phone. Paige has posted some on her website...check'em out!

I'm gettin an itch.....a baby itch!!!

First, Keshia has her first baby girl in May. Then one of my dearest friends brought home her baby girl today and now one more of my dearest friends is due in October. I want a baby....preferably a BOY! :(

The Test Begins....of my faith that is!

Again, the girls and I slept in. Arose about 10am, but had nothing planned so it was nice and chilled. Enjoyed breakfast together. Hannah and Sarah fought over which type of cereal they wanted or even if they wanted milk. But who cares? I have chosen to pick my battles...and that is not one of therm. We then enjoyed a nice dance to some praise & worship music from Christian Heritage's latest CD! Love it! Leonard & I recently read in a magazine about how a father chose to educate his young daughter on the responsibilities of money. Well, the child is given four jars. One is for spending, one for saving, one for tithes, and lastly one for charity. The child has to place 10% of her earning into the tithes jar first. Then she may disperse the other monies as she chooses as long as she places some in each jar. So, we implemented this concept this morning. Hannah has the opportunity to earn $5 (20 quarters) a week based on assigned chores. Let's just say...it's not looking so hot! Sarah, on the other hand, is all about collecting coins for her jar! She surprises me daily with all her knowledge that I did not know of. We began are grand scheme of organization and getting the office/classroom together. And tomorrow Hannah begins her next season of dance...hip hop jrs, ballet II, & jazz II. Instructor already asking about her joining the company. Don't know about all that...don't know if I'm ready for all that. Another shot out to my Dear friend Genny....enjoy baby Emma!

1st Day of School

Unfortunately, the day started off on the wrong foot. We over slept and had 1 1/2 hours to eat breakfast, shower, and get Sarah to her very first dance Ballet class!! Excited! She truly enjoyed wearing her "big girl tights and leotard." She did absolutely well and her instructors noticed! Unfortunately, the class is a Mommy and Me class....and Mommy was not physically ready to be running around. But I pressed on for my baby girl and we can't wait until next week. Hannah had her first taste of homeschooling. She was very anxious because we were so rushed this morning...all my fault. But we worked it out and she enjoyed the time we had together and was very proud of herself for actually doing so well. I always knew it was there...just had to foster it. Tomorrow will hopefully be a better organized day. No extracurricular activities scheduled. Just have to get Hannah new ballet, jazz, and hip hop shoes for her dance classes that start on Thursday. And now I have to look into buying a guitar! Adrienne, I'm gone kill you. She sat in with a friend's guitar lesson and now proclaims that playing the guitar is what she should be doing! "Lord, send help!" - T. Bailey :) Shot out to out latest addition...Tiger! The girls absolutely adore him, thanks Julie!
