I'm gettin an itch.....a baby itch!!!

First, Keshia has her first baby girl in May. Then one of my dearest friends brought home her baby girl today and now one more of my dearest friends is due in October. I want a baby....preferably a BOY! :(

The Test Begins....of my faith that is!

Again, the girls and I slept in. Arose about 10am, but had nothing planned so it was nice and chilled. Enjoyed breakfast together. Hannah and Sarah fought over which type of cereal they wanted or even if they wanted milk. But who cares? I have chosen to pick my battles...and that is not one of therm. We then enjoyed a nice dance to some praise & worship music from Christian Heritage's latest CD! Love it! Leonard & I recently read in a magazine about how a father chose to educate his young daughter on the responsibilities of money. Well, the child is given four jars. One is for spending, one for saving, one for tithes, and lastly one for charity. The child has to place 10% of her earning into the tithes jar first. Then she may disperse the other monies as she chooses as long as she places some in each jar. So, we implemented this concept this morning. Hannah has the opportunity to earn $5 (20 quarters) a week based on assigned chores. Let's just say...it's not looking so hot! Sarah, on the other hand, is all about collecting coins for her jar! She surprises me daily with all her knowledge that I did not know of. We began are grand scheme of organization and getting the office/classroom together. And tomorrow Hannah begins her next season of dance...hip hop jrs, ballet II, & jazz II. Instructor already asking about her joining the company. Don't know about all that...don't know if I'm ready for all that. Another shot out to my Dear friend Genny....enjoy baby Emma!

1st Day of School

Unfortunately, the day started off on the wrong foot. We over slept and had 1 1/2 hours to eat breakfast, shower, and get Sarah to her very first dance Ballet class!! Excited! She truly enjoyed wearing her "big girl tights and leotard." She did absolutely well and her instructors noticed! Unfortunately, the class is a Mommy and Me class....and Mommy was not physically ready to be running around. But I pressed on for my baby girl and we can't wait until next week. Hannah had her first taste of homeschooling. She was very anxious because we were so rushed this morning...all my fault. But we worked it out and she enjoyed the time we had together and was very proud of herself for actually doing so well. I always knew it was there...just had to foster it. Tomorrow will hopefully be a better organized day. No extracurricular activities scheduled. Just have to get Hannah new ballet, jazz, and hip hop shoes for her dance classes that start on Thursday. And now I have to look into buying a guitar! Adrienne, I'm gone kill you. She sat in with a friend's guitar lesson and now proclaims that playing the guitar is what she should be doing! "Lord, send help!" - T. Bailey :) Shot out to out latest addition...Tiger! The girls absolutely adore him, thanks Julie!

Summer of 2008

The Summer is coming to an end. We had a great time. Had the opportunity to spend quality time with my nieces and nephew for several weeks. Finally had a family vacation....fun filled cruise to the Bahamas. Still dreaming about floating in the ocean sipping on mix drinks that a native had prepared for me! The girls had a blast....their first cruise. Couldn't get over the fact "the hotel was in the water." LOL! I must truly say that the Lord has blessed us this summer. Welcome to Ms Leah J (I call her Dora cause her nanny only speaks Spanish :) ) And today one of my dearest friends delivered her first labor love...Ms Emma! Genny, I told you that you could do it! Can't wait to see her. So, now we must prepare for the fall. And that means homeschooling! Yes, Leonard & I have decided that no one can offer our girls a better education than ourselves. So, pray for us as we initiate this endeavor tomorrow. And very soon another dear friend will be bringing home her very first labor of love....Mr Jack (let's not fake the funk...Cory it's a boy!)

Hannah's Spring

Hannah has lost two more teeth...and another one is loose! Mommy has taken the role as the "tooth fairy" this time...no more $20 bills! She just finished her science fair project for the first grade..."To Salt or Not To Salt" - What effect does salt have on plant growth? Hoping for another first place prize this year! Now that her science fair project is complete, she can concentrate on getting her moves down for her annual dance recital this June. No tap this year...she is doing ballet, jazz, and acro. Looking forward to seeing how much she has learned this season. She continues to grow and amazes me and Leonard daily.
