Florida's Endagered Animals...by Hannah
Yesterday we went to the Jr Museum. We learned about endangered animals in Florida. We saw a gopher tortoise and an Indigo snake. The tortoise is endangered because people are destroying their habitats. A habitat is its home. The Gopher tortoise burrows into soft sand. Its burrow provides shelter for other animals like the Indigo snakes. People are shooting animals and running them over with their cars & bikes. My friends, Trinity & Kennedy, and I are doing projects on endangered animals in Florida. I am doing mine on the Whooping Crane. Trinity is doing the Manatee and Kennedy is doing the Florida Panther. Love, Hannah
